HMS Belfast hosts this year’s Cyber Security Challenge UK
The fifth annual Cyber Security Challenge UK, known as a masterclass and developed by cyber experts led by BT, was held on the HMS Belfast museum-ship docked in London on 12-13 March. Ars Technica writes that 42 amateur cyber defenders took part in the event aiming to help plug the skills shortage in UK government and businesses. Lockheed Martin and Airbus also sponsored the competition, which will allow them to « cherry pick the next cybercrime busting whizz kids. » Aboard the HMS Belfast, they competed in a war game to regain control of the naval guns system, taken over by the Flag Day Associates fictitious cyber terrorist network.
